COLORS’ ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav’ captivated audiences with its epic retelling of the earliest love story in the cosmos, which involved Lord Shiv and Goddess Sati. In the story so far, Daksh has taken a critical position against Lord Shiv during the auspicious Prayag Yagya and has declared a Mahayagya, purposefully leaving out Shiv and Sati. The ‘Sati Dahan’ that follows this Mahayagya is a pivotal event that alters the course of history. Tarkasur, the son of Vajranga and Vajrangi, is about to be introduced to the audience, played by Siddhant Issar.
A special costume designed to convey the demon king’s aura of mystery and malice will be worn by the brilliant performer. Tarkasur’s long period of penance to get the strength to vanquish Indra and the Devas and rule over Swarg Lok will be depicted in the show. When Tarkasur finally takes action to reclaim all of the Asurs’ property, a legendary new chapter in the narrative will begin.
“I’m thrilled about diving into the world of Tarkasur, the mighty demon king, by joining the team of Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav,” says Siddhant Issar, who will play Tarkasur in the film. I researched extensively about him and put in a lot of work to get into shape to play him convincingly on TV. Tarkasur is not a one-note villain; he possesses a tremendous physical presence and is driven to seek power by the suffering he has endured. The show marks a new era in the mythical genre, and it’s an honor to play this nuanced character. I’m excited for what the future holds for COLORS and Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Shiv Shakti after seeing this episode.
The COLORS original series “Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav” airs nightly from Monday to Sunday at 8:00 pm.
